Nordic Walks week commencing 19th September, 2016.
Hi Nordic Walkers,
Another week has flown by already and soon it will be our Summer Social next Saturday! I do hope you will be able to join us in having a little get together at The Hub café in Ampthill Park at 11am. We will also have a Cake stand starting at 12:30pm in aid of the Macmillan charity so if there are some of you who are keen bakers, we’d love to sell your cake/cookies or anything else that’s yummy to help towards this great cause. If you are planning to do a cake for this event, could you let me know by Wednesday. Thanks.
TECHNIQUE
I will be going around checking your techniques in the next couple of weeks to see if any bad habits have snuck in! Sometimes a little adjustment here and there can make a big difference.

Friday 7th October, 12pm – Rowney Warren car park, Shefford

NORDIC WALKING CLASS COSTS:
All evening classes – £5
Moderate & Gentle Plus – £5 or £4 if you have your own Poles
Moderate Plus & Gentle – £5
Long Distance and Pop Up walks costs dependent on Distance.
Private Sessions: £12.50
Speed Grading Key:
1 = Moderate Plus (for the faster Nordic Walker, optional Hill running)
2 = Moderate (yet challenging)
3 = Gentle Plus (smidge slower than Moderate yet invigorating)
4 = Gentle (marginally slower than G+ class but energizing)
5 = HIT Nordic (Nothing but Hills. Tough and exhilarating!)

POP UP FRIDAY WALK
Another attempt at this Pop Up walk in Woburn this week as we got rained off last week. I did this walk on Saturday and it was fantastic. Only one Elephant this time but up close and personal with the Rhino’s! (check out the pics!) This is truly a great walk with lovely countryside scenes and flattish too! BOOKING ESSENTIAL. £7
Congratulations to Paula our Mod Plus Speed Racer who came joint first in a 16.1 mile race in Dorset this weekend completing it in 4hours 5mins. Well done Paula!
