Nordic Walks week commencing 26th September, 2016

Hi Walkers,
A massive thank you to all those who came to the Summer Social and also supported the Macmillan Cake stall. So many of made some amazing and delicious cakes! I’m happy to say that all your effort and time paid off; ALL the cakes ended up being sold and we made £227 for the Macmillan charity, Again, thank you so much to those who baked and those who bought the lovely cakes as well as kindly giving me cash donations.
We had a great get together at the summer social and a BIG thank you to Sheelagh, Barbara and Gordon for helping. Couldn’t do it without you….

Great walks last week and even the Cranfield bunch managed an extra hill or two with hardly a groan, well done you lot!

Our Pop Up walk in Woburn was fab as always. We had perfect weather and great company. We even saw the baby elephant who we found out was having her First Birthday. Aah.

BEGINNERS COURSES

Wednesday 5th October, 10am – Woburn Public Car Park, Woburn
Friday 7th October, 12pm – Rowney Warren car park, Shefford

NORDIC WALKING CLASS COSTS:
All evening classes – £5
Moderate & Gentle Plus – £5 or £4 if you have your own Poles
Moderate Plus & Gentle – £5
Long Distance and Pop Up walks costs dependent on Distance.
Private Sessions: £12.50

Speed Grading Key:

1 = Moderate Plus (for the faster Nordic Walker, optional Hill running)

2 = Moderate (yet challenging)

3 = Gentle Plus (smidge slower than Moderate yet invigorating)

4 = Gentle (marginally slower than G+ class but energizing)

5 = HIT Nordic (Nothing but Hills. Tough and exhilarating!)

LONDON BRIDGES 10 MILE 13 BRIDGE WALK
For those of you who are doing the London walk on the 9th October, can you check your name is on the list and if not just let me know. Also, if you have a Travel card for the train can you let me know. I will send out details of times and trains etc in the next couple of days. Yay!
