Week commencing 20th November 2017

Nordic Walking week commencing 20th November, 2017

Hi Walkers,

Thanks to all those who came to the Pop Up walk last Friday. It proved quite challenging with a freshly ploughed field, but with their fantastic core strength and skill, our Walkers made mince meat of it! With everyone remaining vertical throughout; it was a job well done!

We have some new walkers to welcome to our groups, they are John F, Jo, Jenny, Paula, Jackie and Val K. Looking forward to seeing you all on the walks with us.

BRITISH NORDIC WALKING CONVENTION

This past Saturday I was in Birmingham for the British Nordic Walking convention. The national coaches relay all the latest technique methods and tips from the International Nordic Walking Federation and so it was great to learn new ideas and to hear all the very latest information from around the globe. There are new ways of teaching the Nordic Walking technique and so all my current walkers don’t miss out; I will be doing my Workshops starting in December to make sure all of you can benefit! Yay!

WARMING UP

With the dropping temperatures and frosty mornings we will be starting to do warm ups prior to our walks to get all the juices flowing! This shouldn’t impede on any chatting! If you could come along a few mins earlier we will begin the warm ups without taking away from our walking time. Thanks.
