Nordic Walking week commencing 1st May, 2017

Hi Nordic Walkers,

Welcome to some new walkers who have just finished their Technique courses, they are: Kim, Shay, Sarah T, Sarah H, Tim, Gary, Veronica, Sally, Pamela & Jean.  We look forward to seeing you all on our walks!  Check out how to book on a class below:

BOOKING ON A CLASS
Each week you’ll receive a weekly email with all the walks listed.  Some walks you’ll have to book on to and these are highlighted in BOLD.  If you wish to attend one of the booking classes, please can you do this by 8pm the night before the walk at the latest. Because I have a minimum of three for a class to go ahead, failure to book on could mean the class is cancelled. You can book on by either emailing me at walk2fitness@live.co.uk or texting me on 07894791527.

NORDIC WALK & LUNCH – WEDNESDAY 3rd May
Wednesday11am – Rowney Warren walk followed by lunch at The White Hart opposite the Church in Mill Lane, Campton. About a 5 minuted drive from Rowney Warren. I will send a separate email with the menu details.

NEW TRIAL MONDAY EVENING CLASS – 8th MAY 20175pm
This new class will be starting a week Monday at Barton Le Clay at the Recreation Ground, which is off Old Road. This is a spectacular location with the most amazing views.  Aimed at my Moderate Walkers.

MONTE’S TANDOORI, CRANFIELD DINNER – 11th May, 7:30pm
Definitely time for one of our Cranfield Socials and Monte’s is a favourite.  Please let me know by Monday 8th May if you are interested in joining us!

WEDNESDAY EVENING WALKS AT 6PM – BOOKING CLASS
This walk is now officially Moderate (and faster Gentle Plus) and Moderate Plus, so will be splitting into two groups.  Yipee!

NORDIC WALKING CLASS COSTS:

All evening classes – £5
Moderate & Gentle Plus – £5 or £4 if you have your own Poles
Moderate Plus & Gentle – £5
Super G – £10
Long Distance and Pop Up walks costs dependent on Distance.
Private Sessions: £12.50

SPEED GRADING KEY:

1 = Moderate Plus (for the faster Nordic Walker, optional Hill running)

2 = Moderate (yet challenging)

3 = Gentle Plus (smidge slower than Moderate yet invigorating)

4 = Gentle (marginally slower than G+ class but energizing)

5 = HIT Nordic (High Intensity Training, Tough and exhilarating!)
6 = Super G (Very slow so extra care can be taken)

Upcoming Charity Walks in May

Sunday 14th May, 11am – THE FIVE PUB CHALLENGE, Over, Cambridgeshire. This is an 11.5 mile walk stopping at five pubs that will each have a food offering for us. Let me know if you’re interested. Non Nordic Walkers welcome.

Sunday 21st May, Parkinson’s UK Charity walk, Forest Centre, Marston Moretaine.  10am Registrations opens, 11am walk begins. Either 2.5 or 5 mile walks to choose from.  We already have quite a few taking part in our Walk2Fitness team.  Bring your family and friends for this lovely flat walk.
