Week commencing 25th September 2017

Nordic Walking week commencing 25th September, 2017

Hi Walkers,

Thanks to all the walkers who took part in The Memory Walk today in Bedford.  You certainly had a beautiful day and a lot of fun if the pictures you sent me are anything to go by.  Nice to see Kevin Whately again this year with our walkers, hoping he didn’t call the poles skiing sticks again this year!  Well done all.

New Nordic Walking Graduates!

I’d like to welcome all our Newbies who have just completed their Technique course. They are: Ian, David, Jan, Kieran, Sue B, Sally, Steve A, Ann, Penny, Colette, Sarah, Steve, Lynne, David, Kay, Rani & Caroline.  Welll done all of you.  We look forward to seeing you all on the walks!

Pop Up Friday 29th September, new start location.

The George Inn in Maulden is having their coffee morning early so I thought we would have coffee/tea (cake) there to start with and walk to The Hub in Ampthill Park where there is another Macmillan Coffee morning to finish.  Therefore, if all walkers wishing to attend this Pop Up Cake Walk could park at The Hub car park, Ampthill at 9am, we will then transfer you to Maulden for a nice cuppa before the start of the walk.  This is approximately a 5.5mile walk with lovely views most of the way but undoubtedly the best company around! Cost £6

Nordic Christmas Lunch – Thursday 14th December!

This year we will be having our Christmas lunch at The Chequers in Westoning again as it was so great last year.  Spaces are limited to 26, so please let me know as soon as you can if you wish to attend.  They need a £10 deposit per person and you can give this to me or any of the Walk Leaders.  I’d like to get numbers confirmed by October 20th if possible.  Thanks Guys.(weird to be thinking of Christmas so early?!)

NEW BEGINNERS COURSE – Saturday, 7th October – Ampthill Park

Please tell your friends and family about the New Beginners course starting soon.  Yay!

Booking onto classes

This is for the new Walkers but also those of you who forget from time to time!  All walks that are in Bold below are Booking Classes.  To book if you could text me on 07894791527, that would be great.  Failure to book may mean that class will be cancelled as I need a minimum of three walkers for it to go ahead.  I will see also about getting a Booking Button put on the website also. Thanks.
