Nordic Walks week commencing 17th October, 2016

Hi Nordic Walkers,

We were blessed with great weather last week, lovely dry nippy mornings which made you all speed off in the first 10 mins until you warmed up! Clocking some great speeds for these awesome Autumn days. Pictures this week are all taken in Ampthill Park.

GENTLE & GENTLE PLUS PUB WALK
This walk will take place on Saturday, October 29th at 11:30am. Leaving Old Road in Barton Le Clay, we will walk almost 2 miles on a lovely flat countryside track taking in the sweeping views across this beautiful part of Bedfordshire. We will arrive at The Raven Pub in Hexton at approximately 12:15pm – 12:30pm where we will have lunch. After our hunger and thirst has been quenched we will return to our trail arriving back in Barton at 2-2:30pm. This walk is for everyone but please note it will be at a Gentle pace. CONGRATULATIONS PAULA!
Our Speedy Mod Plus Nordic Walking Goat-ess Paula, took part in the British Nordic Walking 10k race this morning at Black Park, Buckinghamshire and she was the Fastest Lady! Winining in 74minutes! What a fantastic achievement! Well done Paula.

NORDIC WALKING CLASS COSTS:
All evening classes – £5
Moderate & Gentle Plus – £5 or £4 if you have your own Poles
Moderate Plus & Gentle – £5
Long Distance and Pop Up walks costs dependent on Distance.
Private Sessions: £12.50

SPEED GRADING KEY:

1 = Moderate Plus (for the faster Nordic Walker, optional Hill running)

2 = Moderate (yet challenging)

3 = Gentle Plus (smidge slower than Moderate yet invigorating)

4 = Gentle (marginally slower than G+ class but energizing)

5 = HIT Nordic (Nothing but Hills. Tough and exhilarating!)
