Nordic Walking week commencing 29th May, 2017

Hi Nordic Walkers

We had a cracker of a walk today with a stroll along the canal, meandering through meadows, wandering in the woods and all with a great bunch of walkers who made this just a fab day! Thanks to all who came along for Stage 1 of the Greensand Ridge series.

GREENSAND RIDGE – 2nd Stage – (10miles) – £8 – Meeting in Ampthill Hub car park at 9:30am.
Stage 2 is next Sunday from Woburn to Ampthill so if you’d like to join us, book on if you haven’t already. Yay! This stage is 10 miles and is a beautiful walk through the Deer park; it takes us through peaceful meadows and also includes the added treat of walking through Segenhoe to see the Church ruin. The whole walk is relatively flat. Please bring a snack and plenty to drink. We will meet at Ampthill Hub Car Park at 9:30am. Thanks.

CRANFIELD WALK THIS WEEK ON TUESDAY AT 1:30PM – Due to missing your walk on Monday this week, I’m adding this walk on Tuesday at 1:30pm. Hope to see you there!

NORDIC WALKING CLASS COSTS:

All evening classes – £5
Moderate & Gentle Plus – £5 or £4 if you have your own Poles
Moderate Plus & Gentle – £5
Super G – £10
Long Distance and Pop Up walks costs dependent on Distance.
Private Sessions: £12.50

SPEED GRADING KEY:

1 = Moderate Plus (for the faster Nordic Walker, optional Hill running)

2 = Moderate (yet challenging)

3 = Gentle Plus (smidge slower than Moderate yet invigorating)

4 = Gentle (marginally slower than G+ class but energizing)

5 = HIT Nordic (High Intensity Training, Tough and exhilarating!)
6 = Super G (Very slow so extra care can be taken)
